The end of an era: Saying goodbye to Joyce
For almost 10 years, Joyce has been the voice and the face of our practice.
Oftentimes, she was the first person you spoke with, the first person you saw, the one who got you your maximum benefits from your insurance, and sometimes the one to break the bad news about the cost of your dental care.
She would always find a spot for a patient in pain, no matter how booked we were – even sometimes telling me to skip lunch to see someone – her commitment to our patients was unparalleled.
So it is with mixed emotions that we will be saying goodbye to Joyce soon.
After a long working career, she would like a well-deserved rest.
She has decided to spend more time with her family, especially her grandsons Isaac,5, Max, 3, and Brendan, almost 1.
The decision did not come easy to her.
“I’ve made so many friends with our patients over the years”, says Joyce. “It’s these relationships that I will miss the most!”
After this month, she will be limiting her hours to just a day or two a week, to help us out as well as to lend her extensive expertise to solve the most difficult insurance problems and helping train her replacement.
So if you see Joyce over the next few weeks, be sure to let her know how missed she’ll be by staff and patients alike.
Hers will be awfully big shoes to fill, but I am sure our two other Front Desk Coordinators, Josephine and EJ, will do their best to maintain the high standards of our practice while we are looking for a replacement.
Josephine has been with us for 6 years, and EJ for over 2. Sitting next to Joyce for so many years, they’ve picked up quite a bit of her wealth of knowledge, and so I am sure they’ll be able answer any questions you may have.
In the meantime, if you know of someone who’s looking for a job and has experience with dental insurance and billing, please let them know that there is a great dental office looking for a new team member. As you know, our staff stays with us for years – and we are very careful in selecting the very best. We look forward to adding another exceptional person to our team.
Joyce, on behalf of my family and I, we wish you a well deserved retirement. Enjoy your children and grandchildren. Much health and happiness always to you and yours!
Sincerely,
Michele Marrano and Family
Oh, Joyce! We will miss you!!! You really are one of the few “front of the office” workers at a health care provider that has ever been nice!!! It was always greatly appreciated. But please know how envious of you I am! Enjoy whatever new pursuits you undertake!!!
Joyce we will all miss you very much, you have made insurance, booking appointments and cancellations so smooth for us. We will miss your friendly voice and smile.
